12V Solar Panel 20 Watt

The 12V solar panel 20 W (RSM-020) by Solar Rich is particularly suitable for small to medium off-grid solar systems. The solar panel can be used in professionals as well as in the leisure sector. Create for example your own solar power on top of your mobile home (camping) or integrate the solar module in a garden off-grid solar system.

The 12v solar panel 20 W can be used in a variety of ways. Direct operation of 12V devices is possible as well as the integration of the solar panel in a small solar off-grid system. Connecting a solar module is simple and requires no specific knowledge of electric. You can expand the field of operation in conjunction with a solar charger, a solar battery or an inverter 12V/230V . That will allow you for example to generate electricity from your 12v solar panel and use the socket of the off-grid inverter to power electric devices.

The solar panel is equipped with mono-crystalline solar cells and thus guarantees an optimal power output and a very high reliability. In particular, the low voltage-temperature coefficient allows a more efficient operation at high temperatures.

Connection and Installation

Connecting the solar module 20W to the charge controller via the PV junction-box on the back of the 12V solar panel is easy. The solar panel is already fitted with 4mm solar cable (90cm) and with connectors of MultiContact (MC4). The solar panel is protected against dust and moisture by the EVA layers encapsulating the solar cells. For the assembly as well as for water drainage the anodized aluminum frame has existing holes. Corresponding solar brackets for mounting the solar panel 20 W on the motorhome (RV), caravan, boat, roof, wall or pole can be supplied as well.

A sturdy, anodized aluminum frame allows the installation of the 12V solar panels, ensures a professional mounting and protection of the solar cells. The solar cells are encapsulated in layers of EVA (see also Figure: Structure of solar module) and protected from weather through the solar glass. Integrated bypass diodes in the junction box prevent damage from overheating which can be caused for example by defective cells.
